Victorian Inspired
The Victorian Era of Jewelry Design, so named after the reign of Queen Victoria and her international influence on all things fashion, was brimming with motifs, materials, and influences. Our Victorian-inspired jewelry borrows from this era by way of naturalistic themes – such as birds and snakes, and celestial themes – like our diamond crescent moons, stars, and starbursts. Another identifiable characteristic of this collection is our use of oxidation, which gives these pieces a patinaed or more “antiqued” look, as though we have sped up the passage of time. Our signature Cobblestone Collection, made with a mix of pavé set, antique cut diamonds, is informed by Victorian jewelry design and the cobblestone streets of Victorian Era Europe. And just as we find it important for the details of our jewelry to reflect the period we are influenced by, we repurpose diamonds from that era of jewelry design, whenever possible. Antique cushion cut diamonds, old mine cut diamonds, and rose cut diamonds are often found in our Victorian inspired jewels.
