Although women's history month is coming to a close, we are a brand that believes in celebrating amazing women every day. We're excited to share the first installment in a new series spotlighting a few of the many real-life super women we are fortunate enough to have as Single Stone clients.

At Single Stone, we have the pleasure of working with so many inspiring women. Creating jewelry with meaning is a core part of our brand, and we are honored to play a role in preserving their stories through jewels. We love getting to know our clients so that we can help them select - or create via our bespoke design process - pieces that genuinely represent them while complimenting their lifestyle and existing jewelry collection.

Meet syma, a long time client of our san marino flagship store

Syma is a super-mom of three, a wife, a doctor, and a Single Stone client who has become a close friend of Corina and Ari's. We stopped in to catch up with her recently and chat with her about our latest collection.

A LITTLE ABOUT syma...

How did you first discover Single Stone?

I was having lunch with a friend and she wanted to stop in at SS to look at a trunk show. When I came into the store, I realized Corina and I had been crossing paths in our lives with our children and I hadn’t known.

How long have you lived in the Los Angeles area and what brought you here? What's your favorite thing about the city?

I moved to Los Angeles to attend medical school in 1993 and have been here ever since. I grew up in a small town and coming to LA I realized I had missed out on the diversity that the city has to offer. There are very few places that have the variety of shopping, restaurants, and activities. I’m still discovering LA.

What do you do for work?

I'm an Oncologist

What first interested you about your field?

I find the science of cancer and cancer care interesting. It’s a fast-moving field as discoveries are leading to significant advances in treatment. I also knew that as a physician I wanted to care for the ill patient, not only to offer innovative treatment but to palliate symptoms and support patients and their families.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The connections we make with the patients when they are facing such a significant life altering time in their lives. I have learned so much from them. I also am continuously fascinated by novel therapeutics and treatment options as we learn more about individual diseases. Cancer care is becoming individualized, and this will continue to evolve.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Spend time with my family and friends, dinners, movies. There’s nothing better than being with the people you love doing really anything.

What does your ideal day look like?

A walk, shopping, being with my boys and friends – ending the night with good food and dancing.

How would you describe your jewelry style?

Classic, elegant, timeless pieces are what I’m drawn to.

Favorite SS piece in your jewelry box?

My cobblestone ring.

What’s at the top of your wish list right now?

So many things… I truly love everything cobblestone. The Marissa drops are beautiful.

What is your favorite thing about Single Stone?

I love coming into Single Stone, the atmosphere is elegant, friendly, no pressure and it really does feel like everyone knows your name and your style. The uniqueness of the individual Single Stone pieces is truly unmatched. I am constantly receiving compliments on the Single Stone jewelry I wear. Every time I go into the store, I find some other piece I haven’t seen and love and the expertise of Single Stone has allowed me to redesign some of my own old stones that are meaningful to me but need a fresh new look. My Single Stone collection is made up of timeless pieces that I feel I can pass on to my children and grandchildren.
