ROSE CUTS
Originating in India in the 18TH century, rose cut diamonds dazzled in the candle-lit courts of the Mughals. Flat bottomed with a domed, faceted top, rose cut diamonds can have any silhouette; it is the triangular “rose-like” facet pattern on the top of the diamond that distinguishes a rose cut from any other diamond shape. The beauty of a rose cut diamond is in the subtlety of its shine – much like light reflecting off the surface of water. Our designs incorporate both antique and mindfully sourced modern rose cut diamonds.
antique diamonds
If the 4 Cs of Diamond Quality are Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight, then antique diamonds offer a 5th C: Character. With a unique play of light due to their hand-cut nature, each antique diamond is truly one-of-a-kind. The appeal of these rare diamonds lies in their broad facet patterns, their unique silhouettes, and their ability to dazzle in low and modern lighting conditions. Unlike their modern counterparts, which are cut with modern machinery and to exacting specifications, there are only a finite number of antique diamonds available, making them scarce and highly sought after. Repurposing antique diamonds also reduces environmental impact, which is something we feel very strongly about.
ONE-OF-A-KIND BY DESIGN
Because you're an original and your jewelry should be, too.
At Single Stone, you don’t need to create a custom bespoke design to have a unique piece of jewelry. Individually crafted with unique vintage and mindfully-sourced stones, no two pieces are alike.
vintage-inspired
Our jewelry is often inspired by the antique diamonds they are designed around. Featuring characteristics reminiscent of the Art Deco, Edwardian and Victorian eras, there's something for every vintage jewelry lover.
